Sold or... Bought?

I sold a piece the other day and I left a post it on it to mark it and I wrote "Bought".

Where I probably should have written "Sold"?

I spent the week wondering why did I write "bought", what it meant, and what was the difference with "Sold".

It feels like "Bought" is more optimistic, less of a sad thing that happened? Sounds like it is more exciting for the buyer?

Could I be that empathic?

To be excited for the buyer?

Not more than for me cos I was really happy too.
