From October to December 2010, I photographed a group of squatters, mainly East European, in a building near Old Street / Cental London. Initially in this building just for an hour or two, I spent two months with them, fascinated by the "hard core" life they were living in one of the richest areas of London and just a few minutes away from an other world, the City.
As I knew some of them from a previous squat in East London which has been demolished now (see Closed), I noticed how often they had to move out and in again without anybody paying attention. I then began to write (non permanent) comments on all the buidings I knew they had stayed in, not to inform on their living conditions but to leave a trace of their passage.
